Sunday Club
Sunday Club welcomes all children aged 0 -10yrs.
We meet at the church every Sunday from10.30 to approx 11.30am. Each session has a Christian theme with a variety of age related activities – stories, games, crafts, music etc. Children also enjoy juice and biscuits together.
We are blessed with good facilities and are well resourced with experienced leaders and helpers. Parents are welcome to stay with young children and there are crèche facilities for babies and toddlers. Visitors are always welcome.
A popular feature is our lovely children’s library. We have a collection of bright colourful children’s Bible stories for youngsters and their parents/carers to share and enjoy.
Our aim is to provide a safe, caring environment where children are introduced to the love of God and the Christian life, Enjoy themselves and have lots of fun!
Sunday Youth Group
Our youth group is for young people aged 10yrs upwards. We meet together every Sunday 10.30 to approx 11.30am. The sessions are theme based with activities relevant to this age group. We use craft, drama, music, media to explore faith and living it out in a modern teen culture. The young people are also invited to contribute to the life of the church – worship, junior council, fund raising and service. Our experienced leaders and helpers provide a safe environment and an opportunity for growth and friendship.
Recently this group had a great weekend at The Oakes, a Christian Holiday Centre in Yorkshire. They got covered in mud, tried archery, ate toasted marshmallows and considered faith issues through the Narnia books of CS Lewis.
Local young people or those or those visiting Buxton are very welcome to come along any Sunday to this group.
