Our People

Andrew Parker

Superintendent Minister: Rev Andrew Parker

I am originally from Pudsey in West Yorkshire and after working as an engineer and computer operator, I followed a calling to ordination as a Methodist Minister. I trained at Wesley College, Bristol and have served in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Circuit and Sheffield East Circuit before coming to Buxton in 2012. It is a wonderful privilege to serve the Methodist congregations in this circuit, set in the beautiful Peak District.

Pastoral Care Coordinator: Rev David Harrison

I grew up near Keighley and Skipton in Yorkshire. My working life has been in accountancy, book keeping and ministry. I am now semi-retired doing part time book keeping and pastoral work. I have lived in Chapel-en-le-Frith since 1999 and have been involved with Methodism, preaching and playing the organ in Chapel and Sparrowpit, and now at Buxton.

In Buxton, we have developed a team for pastoral care within the Church family to respond to the need where people are struggling with ill health, age problems and other issues which may turn our lives upside down. If you feel called to help, please get in touch with Andrew or myself. It would be greatly appreciated.
